How to cancel Slack
Short answer: open the official Slack account page, sign in and choose Cancel or turn off auto-renew. Do it at least 1–2 days before the next renewal date.
Step by step
- Open the official Slack account page (button above) and sign in with the account that pays for the plan.
- Make sure you are an owner or admin of the workspace – only they can change the plan.
- Open Billing / Plan and downgrade or cancel.
- Check seats and add-ons: they are often billed separately.
Before you cancel
- Cancel at least 1–2 days before the next renewal date – a renewal processed overnight is rarely refunded.
- Paid through Apple, Google Play or a mobile carrier? Then you have to cancel there, not on the Slack website.
- Export your data (files, messages, records) before downgrading – free plans often limit history.
Never miss the Slack renewal date.
RENEW is a free browser extension that tracks your subscriptions and reminds you before they renew – with a direct link to this cancel page.
